Idag blev det klart att Simian Ghost ansluter sig till Hultsfredsfestivalens redan fantastiska lineup för 2012 (Jamie XX, Stone Roses, James Blake, M83 m.fl.)!
Vi kommer även göra ett framträdande på Emmabodafestivalen i Juli.

Om ni inte vill vänta så länge på att se oss har ni chansen nu i helgen! På fredag spelar vi på Hultsfredsfestivalens förpepp på Strand och på lördag besöker vi Velvet på V-Dala nation i Uppsala.

We’re super happy to announce some more live dates in the UK! We’re going to travel with the lovely Stealing Sheep on a tour hosted by the equally lovely Line of Best Fit!

We have now almost completed our spring tour in Sweden, Klubb Popidyll in Kalmar and Umeå Open remains. We’ve had a great time so far and now we’re getting ready for our first ever UK gigs!

As of yesterday Youth is finally released both in the UK and over here in the north!
It has gotten an amazing reception so far, and great reviews in a lot of heavyweight publications. We’re all kind of blown away by this, it is truly amazing. For one, we’re the first Swedish band to get a lead review in the Times since Abba. That’s crazy. The record just entered the UK iTunes alt chart as well, after only one day!

So thank you all for your amazing support! The love is mutual.

Also, the second single from Youth, Curtain Call, is up for streaming on our Soundcloud! The single also includes our first edit of the song, which has a quite different ending.

Simian Ghost are now signed Super Mon Amour for booking in France, who represents many of our favorite bands (Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Black Dice, Animal Collective, M83, Deerhunter, Gang Gang Dance, Jamie XX, Neon Indian, Wild Nothing, Real Estate etc etc etc)!
This post turned into somewhat of a namedrop fest, but sometimes that is warranted. Happy happy!

I slutet av februari och i början av mars kommer våran debutskiva som band, Youth, att släppas. Detta tänker vi fira hårt och mycket!
Tillsammans med våra vänner och samarbetspartners ställer vi till med fest, först i Stockholm på Riche och sedan i Umeå på Scharinska Villan!

Vi kommer under båda kvällarna även ha en liten utställning av Weronika Belas fantastiska foton som vi använt till omslaget!
